Qualifications: Min N4 qualification. Successful completion of a Fitting and Turning trade test. This qualification could have been obtained through either a formal apprenticeship or Section 28 of the Manpower Training Act. Must have completed min of 4 years as a trade tested Fitter & Turner. Position subject to a 3 month probation period. Strong pneumatic and hydraulic problem solving skills are preferential.

Provide efficient fitting and turning support service

Assemble, install, test, and maintain any mechanical equipment, apparatus or fixture, using hand tools and power tools. 

Plan layout and installation of mechanical equipment and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.

Fabricate parts required on a lathe and milling machine.

Inspect mechanical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair

Ensure compliance with codes, OHSACT and All relevant local and international codes and best practices.

Direct and train workers to install, maintain or repair equipment and fixtures.

Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.

Willing to work overtime when necessary and standby rota system.

Be able to fault find, tune and repair industrial sewing machines.

Be familiar with injection moulding techniques.

Must have own transport.

Compliance Officers to provide compliance support in its Finance section. The roles will support the implementation of various  tasks and procedures, its programmes and support sections. A key objective of the roles is to ensure that compliance procedures and tasks are carried out so that the companay meets its internal, external and special audit objectives, i.e. achieving unqualified audit reports.
An appropriate university degree or diploma, preferably in finance or auditing experience
Certification in USG Financial Management with at least two years’ experience in accounting functions for USG grants.
Particular focus on grant application requirements, agency rule adherence, reporting requirements, budget implementation, including pre- and post-award actions and overall programme support management issues associated with CDC-SA and/or USAID cooperative agreements.
Perform risk-based internal audits in accordance with specified internal audit standards
Interpret audit findings and assisting in the development of practical solutions to address risks identified
Identify significant issues, business issues and root causes that have the potential to iimpact on the entire business, and to report these appropriately
Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of current internal controls, risk management and governance processes, and to make practical recommendations to improve the control environment of the business
Perform daily reviews of payments to detect irregularities and fraudulent transactions
Support the design and maintenance of a strong internal control system
Maintain a log of compliance matters reported and ensure appropriate escalation and response to ensure resolution
Work as part of a Compliance Team supporting the Grants and Contracts office to assist with implementing an effective sub-recipient monitoring function and provide technical assistance to sub-recipients, staff and management
Submission of monthly and specific compliance reports for review to management
Conduct compliance-related site visits to project offices and sub-recipients in accordance with funder regulations. Assist with review of sub-recipient audit reports and discuss with management
Support management during internal and external audit processes and assist with the design and maintenance of a strong internal control system
Assist Accounts and Compliance officer to review audit files and accounting records to ensure readiness for the Statutory Audit and Yellow book audit
Be willing to travel on assignments as needed
